Rattled Town anxious to bounce back
Dandy Town v Hamilton Parish
Dandy Town will be looking to bounce back from their opening-game loss against Devonshire Cougars when they travel to new boys Hamilton Parish tomorrow. Tipped to be one of the main contenders for the league title this year, Town can't afford to lose anymore ground this early in the season. And a victory against Hot Peppers would be a good way to get their first points of the new campaign.
Parish, on the other hand, will be in a buoyant mood after their 4-1 win over Devonshire Colts last week and will be looking to continue their winning ways in the Premier Division. Sriker Jamie Smith lead the attack with a hat-trick in their first game, and he could provide the fireworks in this clash.
Prediction: Dandy Town win 3-1
North Village v Boulevard
North Village have their hands full again this weekend when they are home to a confident Boulevard side looking to add to Elliott Jennings' misery as coach of the Rams.
Lacking a lot of their attacking options from last term, Village will struggle to win this match if Ralph Bean jr and Vernon Tankard do not stamp their authority on matters early on.
Blazers do not have any injury worries as Andrew Bascome has a full strength side to choose from. Mel Gibbons got his side's winner last week against champions PHC and will lead the side who will no doubt be looking to take advantage of a Rams side still finding their feet.
Prediction: Draw 2-2
PHC v Southampton Rangers
The champions face Rangers at the right time after their opening day loss to Boulevard.
With Cougars, who played against Colts last night, already holding the early advantage, any more points dropped this early in the season could be detrimental to Zebras' repeat quest. However, with depth in numbers, anyone could pop up and steal the show for PHC.
Rangers did well to get a point against North Village last week, but face a much different proposition tomorrow. They will need a 100 percent effort from each player in order to pull this victory off.
Prediction: PHC win 2-0
