Riders get ready for first show
Bermuda Dressage Group will be holding their first show of the season this weekend at the National Equestrian Centre.
Directed by Aime Pigott and Lauren Adcock, the show will be judged by Bermuda's own Christopher Taylor.
The event comes on the heels of Bermuda Equestrian Federation's warm-up show last weekend, their first event of the new season.
BEF have revisited the use of selection trials in which junior riders will compete for spots on the Bermuda team set to represent the Island at next year's Caribbean Equestrian Junior Jumping Competition and the Chile Junior Jumping Invitational in November this year.
Tyler Lopes, who placed second, will be representing Bermuda at the Children's of America Dressage Invitational at the end of this month.
McKeisha Smith, public relations officer for the BEF, noted that Azaria Smith, who rode Ready or Not, and Jay Lynn Hines on The Patriot, would compete in Chile in November.
