The pair were one of four teams to card a 65 yesterday and after 36 holes they hold a one-stroke lead over local Jack Wahl and John Sheehan of Massachusetts, 130 to 131. A further stroke back on 132 are Jack Hobbs and Eugene Atkinson, also of the United States.

Just a single stroke separates the top teams in the gross division where Wahl and Sheehan have a 147 and Robert Vallis of Bermuda and James Shackleford of UK have a 148.
