Khano Smith made his return to first-team action as New England Revolution reached the semi-finals of the US Open Cup.

The defending champions beat USL-D2's Crystal Palace Baltimore 5-3 on penalties at the Gillette Stadium on Tuesday.

They will now face DC United on August 12.

Smith, who missed the previous match with a foot injury picked up on national team duty, was substituted after 67 minutes.
