Bermudian Henry Stevens-Carty won his high school regional cross country championships last weekend, clocking a time of 16 minutes, 45 seconds on the five kilometre course

Stevens-Carty, who resides in Atlanta and competed for Bermuda in Carifta, World Youth Championships and Pan Am Juniors, helped his Allatoona High School to a well-placed second.

He has been placing in the top two of every cross country event this season. He will be competing in the State Championship this upcoming weekend.

"We are hoping that Henry will be able to come back to Bermuda to defend his Front Street Mile title in the High School Division," said Bermuda Track and Field Association president Donna Watson. "This is Henry's last year in High School and he is now hoping to get a track scholarship from a University in the US."
