Pair step up their May 24 build-up
Dawn Richardson and Chris Estwanik will continue their May 24 Half-Marathon preparation as the two are set to compete in the Cornerstone Development Group 10-mile road race title tomorrow.
Last year's men's champions Tucker Murphy has not entered this time around and therefore a new champion is to be crowned, while Richardson will be the odds on favourite to repeat her success of last year.
Over 100 competitors are expected to test themselves.
The race starts at 9.30 a.m. at the southern entrance of the Botanical Gardens, with runners from three categories competing.
Runners can pick up their numbers, beginning at 8 a.m. from the start/finish line.
Co-race director, Mike McMallum, is excited about the race day, noting that anyone could win the age categories, although Richardson is the favourite to lift a second title in as many years.
"At the moment we have 110 entrants, with the male and female categories as well as a 16-19 junior age group being the age groups," said McCallum.
"We are looking to have a good race, and hopefully the weather is good and spectators can come out and cheer the runners on."

The West Indies had adapted better to the wet conditions and with some fine kicking and hard tackling looked more than a match for their opponents.
A stern talking to at half time kicked Kenya into gear however and they scored three unanswered tries through.
Injera, Kayange and Asego before Healy's late consolation to make the final score 17-10.
The West Indies take on the USA and Scotland today in their two remaining group matches.
