Track coach offers clinic

including former local triple jumper Mike Sharpe at the University of Florida and current aspiring Olympian Xavier James, will conduct a seminar/clinic this Friday evening at the National Sports Centre.

Brooks Johnson says the clinic will be open to athletes of any sport interested in setting up a fitness programme or who want to improve their speed. Johnson was coach at Stanford University and director of the Disney Sports Complex. He presently manages his own company, Strategic Resources Allocation Group, helping to stage sporting events around the world.

Suffield Academy in Connecticut acknowledged the sporting achievements of three Bermudian students during their Spring Athletic Awards Assembly last week.

Tyler Owen, Benjamin Pewter and Theodore Terceira were all honoured with Varsity Letters.

Owen, a sophomore, received a letter in varsity track. Pewter, a junior, received a letter in varsity tennis and Terceira was awarded a letter in varsity golf.
