MVP's Jahron Dickinson, Shauntae Todd and Nahki Wells with their awards at last night's BFA Awards Devonshire Rec

Nahki Wells, Shauntae Todd, and Jahron Dickinson all completed memorable doubles at the Bermuda Football Association (BFA) Award ceremony to cap of their respective seasons as the trio claimed both leading goal scorer and Most Valuable Player awards in their divisions.

Dandy Town's crown jewel Wells was deserved of the MVP award for the Premier Division as he guided Dandy Town to the 2009/10 league title and capped off a remarkable season with a brace in their title clinching match against PHC, taking his league tally to 20 goals for the campaign.

The Bermuda international has emerged as one of the leading players on the Island this term and dedicate his success to his teammates.

"It feels good to receive this award," said Wells. "It was a hard season in the overall aspect, but we put in the work and my achievements come down to the hard work of each player on the team.

"I did score the goals, but my teammates put me in positions to do what I did, so this goes to them as well. It was hard at the beginning when everyone wrote us off but we fought back and got into the fight and as a team we had the will to win it."

Women's MVP Todd also had a season to remember as she helped North Village Lady Rams to the 'Double', winning both the league and FA Cup this year.

The high-octane striker capped off her and her side's season with a 6-0 thrashing over former club, Dandy Stars, in the Women's FA Cup final, where she bagged five goals in the triumph.

The Bermuda international scored an impressive 39 goals in the league campaign, some 24 goals ahead of striker partner Dominique Richardson. And she netted 53 goals in all competitions.

"I am grateful to be awarded this honour," said Todd. "My team, Lady Rams, had a good year winning the league and FA Cup. This award tops off my personal season achievements, but it wouldn't be possible without my team.

"Thanks to my team, my coach and our fans for the support this season. I had a goal of 18 goals before the season and to score as many as I did is a tribute to my team."

First Division MVP and leading scorer Dickinson was a proud man on the night but didn't show much emotion, thanking the fans of St. George's, teammates as well as coach Richard Todd.

Dickinson finished with 22 goals in the campaign and helped St. George's clinch promotion to the Premier Division as well as Shield honours.

"I don't want to say to much apart from thanks to my family, my coach Richard Todd, my teammates and the fans of St. George's," said Dickinson.

Also enjoying honours on the night for their achievements were Troy Tucker, Najhay Spence, Dominique Richardson, Leroy Wilson, Todd, Naquita Robinson and Paulos.

Tucker won the Young Player of the Year for the Premier Division, while Spence of Young Men's Social Club and Richardson of Lady Rams won Young Player of the Year for First Division and Women's Division respectively.

Wilson was awarded Coach of the Year for his role in guiding Town back to the top of the pile in his first year at the helm, while Todd was named the First Division Coach of the Year. Meanwhile in the women's division the judges couldn't split Robinson and Paulos, and they were named joint winners.

Sharifa Crockwell won Goalkeeper of the Year for the Women's Division, with Corey Richardson and Jason Smith winning the award for First and Premier Division respectively.

Defender of the Year awards went to Kofi Dill in the Premier Division, Ernest Signor for the First Division and Shawnette Perott for the Women's Division. Referee of the Year was given to Alton Reid with Most Improved Referee going to Tracey Adams.
