Will he or won't he?

The question for all Boulevard supporters this weekend will be whether their esteemed coach Andrew Bascome takes his seat in Blazers' dug-out at Police Field.

Rumours have been circulating all week that he won't return after walking out on Blazers last week ahead of their defeat against PHC.

One thing's for sure though, Blazers desperately need to return to winning ways after three straight defeats.

A loss to Colts would have been unthinkable a few weeks ago, but Keishon Smith's men are a much-improved side and could cause Boulevard some problems

However, Blazers' walking wounded are beginning to return to full fitness and they should still have too much quality for Colts in this match.

Prediction: Blazers 2-0

North Village v

Somerset Eagles

Village will be desperate to go into the Christmas break within touching distance of the Premier Division leaders.

Having found their stride after their Dudley Eve triumph, the Rams have been on rampant form and will not be sympathetic to Somerset Eagles at Bernard Park.

Although the men from the West End bounced back with a much-needed win last weekend this task will be much more difficult.

But if Kenny Thompson's side can put together a complete performance against his former club, then they could very well get something out of this one.

Prediction: Draw 2-2

Devonshire Cougars v Hamilton Parish

The league champions have a chance to go back to the top of the table with a win over rock bottom Hot Peppers at home.

Cougars have remained consistent in their league campaign so far this season, especially on the road, and a win at home will see them sign off 2009 on a good note.

Their opponents, however, are currently staring relegation in the face and desperately require points, and fast.

They have impressed in fits and starts throughout the first half of the season, but their inability to perform consistently for an entire 90 minutes on a regular basis has left them languishing at the foot of the table.

Prediction: Cougars 3-1

Dandy Town v PHC

New league leaders PHC take on a resurgent Dandy Town in the match of the day at St. John's Field.

In-form Zebras took over the top spot after a win over Boulevard last weekend and will be looking to put some distance between themselves and those close to them.

In Hornets, however, they will find a team that has continually climbed the ladder since their early season slump.

Town's array of attacking talent has finally found their scoring boots and helped put the side back in the top of the table mix. They will certainly ask questions of PHC's back four.

Both sides are firing on all cylinders, so fireworks can be expected.

Prediction: Town 2-1

Southampton Rangers

v Somerset Trojans

This mid-table battle between two inconsistent teams could certainly be a close one at Southampton Oval.

Rangers' defence has been leaking goals in recent weeks, the Friendship win over Boulevard aside, and they must tighten up against a Trojans team that could feature striker Adrian Burrows, who missed last weekend's match against Cougars through suspension.

Trojans have struggled in his absence although they still have exciting attacking options down the flanks in Jai Simmons and Tahj Wade.
