Devonshire Rec. made it two wins out of two over the weekend as they made quick work of Flatts Victoria at Wellington Oval winning by six wickets.

Led by veteran all-rounder Ricardo Brangman Sr., who also had a weekend to remember with the ball, the visitors dismissed Flatts for 180 runs in 40.4 overs.

Brangman claimed three for 21 while Dennis Williams also stepped to the forefront, snatching three wickets for 47 runs.

Logan Phillips was top scorer, ending 43 not out, while Philip Burgess also contributed with the bat, scoring 40.

The visitors made the total with minimal fuss, thanks to an opening partnership of 83 between Oladapo Fredericks (21) and Stephen Bremar (61).

Bremar top scored in reaching the mark, while Brangman also chipped in useful runs scoring 29 to go along with his three wickets.

Leg Trappers 87

Westerns Stars recorded an emphatic win at St. John's Field as they swept aside Leg Trappers by 107 runs.

Batting first, Stars were in a spot of bother at 19 for three when the pair of Rohan Davis (18) and Winton Woodley (32) put together 43 runs for the fourth wicket.

The two, along with skipper Justin Robinson (25) put the hosts in a commanding position before top scorer Jaja Millett (42) and Jevanie Fubler (22) helped the side to a defendable total. Johann Oosthuizen led the visitors in the bowling department, taking three wickets for 28 runs, while Jordache Rawson and Dave Martin took two wickets each.

Trappers never got out of the blocks as they lost wickets at regular intervals.

Nick Lucking (29) and Rawson were the only batsman in double figures as the side were bowled out for a meagre 87.

Treadwell Gibbons Jr. claimed three for 14 and Millet took three for 16, while Woodley and Brian Hall took a wicket apiece.

Somerset Bridge 170

Willow Cuts 171-6

A superb all-round performance saw Willow Cuts to a four-wicket victory over Somerset Bridge at Somerset Circket Club.

Three wickets by Charles Swan led the charges for the hosts, who also got wickets from Sheroy Fubler (two for 25), Deuntae Darrell (two for 20), and Damon Thomson (two for 30).

Shawn Riley (38) and Tristan Smith (37) were the leading run getters for Bridge, while Kaisey Smith (22) and Bilal Lambert (20) all contributed to the runs chaser.

Ryan Shepherd got the run chase off to a solid start as his scored 64 in opening the batting with young Darrell (45) adding to his wicket haul with a good knock.

Fubler (21 not out) and Trevor Forth (15 not out) were at the crease when the scores crossed.

Lambert was the main ball threat, taking four wickets for 31 runs.
