Scoring spectacular goals at BAA Field has become a habit for Southampton Rangers' teenaged striker Morricko Iris this season.
His latest wonder-strike stunned Shaun Goater's North Village in the final minute of last night's Friendship semi-final and will now see the unlikely finalists meet PHC at the National Sports Centre.
BAA Field's bumpy and uneven surface hardly encourages an attractive brand of passing but as far as Iris is concerned it's where he would like to play all his football.
"It's something about this pitch, there's definitely something about this pitch," said a jubilant Iris shortly after scoring his winner to knock the pre-match favourites Village out of the competition.
"I always seem to score great goals here and tonight was no different."
The 19-year-old struck an audacious volley to pinch a point off early season pacesetters Boulevard at BAA Field back in October and is now eager to show his eye for the sensational finish at 'the carpet'.
"We're absolutely delighted to have reached the Friendship final," he said.
"I didn't think we played all that well in the first half but we picked things up in the second period and got our reward.
"To have reached a final in a our first season back in the top division is a great achievement for the club. I just want to keep on scoring now and hopefully push for a place in the national team."
Rangers' leading scorer snatched victory at the death with a sweet volley into the corner of net after Village's defence failed to sufficiently clear their lines from a corner-kick.
Rams' Belgium-bound trialist Sammy DeGraff had early levelled with a shot from the edge of the box to cancel out Rangers' second half opener through Rohaan Simons who had flicked home a corner.
Iris said Rangers would be able to fully focus on securing a piece of silverware with their Premier Division status all but secured following Bermuda Football Association's league decision to expand the league to ten teams with no automatic relegation this term.
Instead, the bottom club will face the third placed First Division side in a two-leg play-off to decide who drops down a tier.
"I'm certainly sleeping a lot easier now as it's a big relief to know even if you finish seventh you won't go down," added Iris.
