Phillips stars in Euro League win
Bermuda basketball pro Sullivan Phillips made a healthy contribution to Apoel BC's 77-68 European win over Keravnos from the Ukraine to advance to the next round of the Euro League.
The 30-year-old Bermudian ended this week's match with a stat line of 11 points, six rebounds and two assists to help the men from Cyprus coast into the next round of the League with a 3-1 record.
Speaking on expectations of the season for the club, Phillips said: "As a team we want to win our league cup and championship, as well as win the European competition were involved with now.
"This is my second year in Cyprus but first year with APOEL, and I am very excited with our results thus far.
"We have qualified for the next round in the European competition and it feels good.
"I have played in Europe before so it is not new to me but I am enjoying this time around all the same, so things are well."
