Players take some time out

Matt Mungo Hess sinks another putt at Riddell's Bay

As most Goodwill participants took advantage of the "rest" day to either explore the Island or spend time with their families, 38 players took full advantage of the good weather to play in the Skins match held at Riddell's Bay.

Players had an option to play in the Gross/Net division or both. Either way there was plenty of money to spread around.

In the end a total of six Gross skins were awarded at a value of $140 each and only three NET skins were awarded worth $306 each.

Meanwhile, 11 ladies players decided that they would also take advantage of the sunshine and play some golf on their own at Ocean View Golf Club.

The format was stableford points.

Representing Belmont Hills, Linda Madeiros took first place honours on 35 points, one point ahead of Mary Gale of Dublin Lakes Golf Club who had 34 points.

In third place was Kathy Gusha on 33 points also representing Dublin Lakes Golf Club.
