Stout crowned world rackets champion
Bermuda's James Stout became the World Singles Rackets champion after thumping defending champ Harry Foster at Queen's Club in London, England, on Saturday.
Stout, who represented the Island in the Endurance World Open squash tournament at the Fairmont Southampton last year, won the match 15-11 and 15-6.
Similar to squash, the indoor sport is rarely played outside the UK, USA and Canada.
It's contested on a 30 by 60 foot enclosed court, with a ceiling at least 30 feet high.
The walls and floor of the court are made of smooth stone or concrete and are generally dark in colour to contrast with the white ball.
Stout, the New York Racquet and Tennis Club professional, had beaten Foster in the Big Apple in the first leg of the World Championships the previous weekend.
