Teen Tre returning to Fulham

National academy youngster Tre Ming will return to English Premier League side Fulham FC for week-long trials next month.

Ming, 15, impressed during trials with the club last year when he attended try-outs along with fellow national academy youngster Zeiko Lewis on the recommendation of the Bermuda Football Association (BFA).

BFA youth director Devarr Boyles will accompany the attacking midfielder, who currently plays for South Kent School in Connecticut, on his trip.

Realistically Ming, who has also had trials at Portsmouth, would be unable to sign scholarship terms until he turns 17, but BFA technical director Derek Broadley is confident he has the ability to make the grade.

"This is another good opportunity for Tre and it will be a good gauge of how much he has improved since his last trial," said Broadley. "He's been playing for South Kent recently but was impressive when he trained with the national academy this summer.

"He will travel with Devarr who will have a good opportunity to see the inner workings of a top English club. We will try and get Devarr out to a few other clubs while he's over in England."

PHC product Ming has represented the Bermuda national team at Under-13, Under-15 and Under-17 age groups.

Earlier this year the Government presented the BFA with $3,364 to cover the costs of sending Ming back to Fulham for trials.
