Skipper Ingham put on a fine display of martial arts skills, finishing runner-up at the John Chung's World Cup Martial Arts Organisation finals held in Reston, Virginia.
Competing against six others in the over-40 men's form last weekend, Ingham lost out on the top spot to Kung Fu stylist Tom Mesce, of New Jersey.
Ingham, 79, was at the event with his wife, Kristina, and his senior student instructor Gladwin (Roots) Phillips, who both acted as judges.
