Willow Cuts 186
Southampton Rangers showed they are not about to relinquish their Western County crown as they emphatically dispatched Willow Cuts by 124 runs at White Hill Field on Saturday.
Led by Malachi Jones, who scored 103 not out, Rangers produced a batting display that was never going to be reached, scoring 310 runs in their allotted overs.
The match saw Rangers bat first and reach a sizeable total.
Dion Stovell scored 25 with Curtis Jackson (14) and Andrew Raynor (18) also solidifying the side's promising start.
For Willow Cuts, Jermaine Trott had bowling figures of three for 50, while skipper Bergon Spencer took two for 36.
In reply, Willow Cuts could only muster 186, with Dexter Basden scoring 83.
When Janeiro Tucker finally caught Basden off the bowling of Malachi Jones for 83, Willow Cuts were 180-8.
In the end, Willow Cuts were bowled all out for 186 with Ryan Shepard assisting Basden in the scoring with 42, while Jones, the hero for Rangers, had figures of four for 36.
"It was a batsmen's wicket so our focus was to bat first and put up a good total," said Rangers' Raynor.
"Bermuda must realise that when Rangers are at full strength, we are never out of a game.
"When it comes down to winning matches and getting the results required we always come through."
