More misery more netballers

Bermuda’s senior netballers slumped to their fifth consecutive defeat at the Americas Federation of Netball Association’s (AFNA) Championships in Trinidad yesterday.Despite putting in a valiant effort, Bermuda went down 49-31 against Canada.By way of consolation, Bermuda’s points tally against the Canadians was the best to date at the regional tournament being held at the Jean Pierre Complex in Port-of-Spain.“The team is fighting hard . . . but I’m not sure they believe what they are capable of, which is to beat teams” said Bermuda Netball Association president Tracey Sharrieff, who is accompanying the team in Trinidad. “The competition is good but I hold to the fact that they are not unbeatable.”Bermuda were due to face Grenada last night and will take on tournament favourites Jamaica today.
