Barbosa sounds early warning

Bermuda Karting Club held their season opener at Southside, St David’s at the weekend

David Barbosa made a flying start to the 2012-13 Karting season at Bermuda Motorsports Park at the weekend.Barbosa took the chequered flag in all three heats in the Senior TAG Class to send a strong message to his fellow rivals.Al Seymour Jr and Stephen Corrado both managed two podium displays in the Senior Tag Class.Corrado also impressed in the 125cc Shifter Class where he managed a first and two seconds in the day’s three heats. Devon Durrant and Scott Barnes had a win each as honours were shared among three drivers.Owen DeCosta captured two wins in the Junior Stock Clone Class (10-15) while Corey Lewis had one win and two seconds.Ryan Burgess competed alone in the Junior Stock Clone Class (7-10 years).Karting action resumes at the Southside, St David’s race track on October 14.
