Bermuda in World Ball Hockey final

Bermuda have sealed a place in the final of the World Ball Hockey Championships in Toronto, thanks to a 4-0 thrashing of Great BritainTomorrow’s Gold Medal game will be played tomorrow.The latest victory followed wins over Hong Kong, Israel, Italy and Cayman Islands, maintaining the Island’s perfect record in Group B.Bermuda got goals from Cory Caouette, Cam Poland (2) and JM Tremblay but Player of the Game was goalie Yan Leclerc, whose shut-out included 26 saves.Early in the first period Bermuda experienced a setback when veteran defender Chris Coleman hobbled back to the bench with a hamstring pull but Caouette would calm the nerves with solo effort to put Islanders 1-0 up just minutes into the game.Bermuda took a 2-0 lead through Poland in the third period and the victory was sealed as Tremblay was taken down in the offensive zone and was awarded a penalty shot. Tremblay confidently trotted to centre before slapping the ball into the back net.Poland rounded up the win with the fourth goal as he blasted the ball into the top corner above the glove hand of the GB goalie.Bermuda were scheduled to play their final group game against Armenia.
