The North Village Community Club Lady Rams junior netball team won the Plate final at the inaugural Disney International Youth Netball tournament at the recent ESPN Wide World of Sport Complex in Florida. Also competing at the tournament were teams from Australia, South Africa, Canada, England and the United States. The Lady Rams competed in the Under-16 Division, finishing seventh in the round-robin tournament, before playing for the Disney Plate, beating Texas Lonestar’s second team in the final, 29-7. Xah-Niyah Hunt led the team to victory with 21 goals.
