Bermuda have won the regional divisions for both team and individual A and B categories at the FEI World Jumping Challenge.

Philip Correia and Kirista Rabain have both consequently qualified for the World Jumping Challenge finals to be held next year.

The FEI recently released the regional and overall world ranking category results for the World Jumping Challenge, which was held from February to April 1.

Correia and his horse Emerson won the regional category A (1.20 — 1.30 metres), while Rabain, riding Helsinki van de Heffinck secured second. In the category A world rankings, Correia and Rabain placed 69th and 73rd respectively out of a field of 413 competitors.

Vicki Steele and her horse All in One were the regional winners for zone 10 in category B. In the world category, Steele ranked 28th out of 271 competitors.

Bermuda also fielded a team for the World Jumping Challenge, securing first place in their zone. There are ten geographical zones, each comprising of four to ten countries. The challenge includes three events, with the best scores counting from two of the events. The island’s team consisted of Correia, Steel and Casey Truran.

Rabain secured sixth in the final of the World Jumping Finals in Algiers, Algeria, in July.
