Triple challenge ceremony

The organisers of Bermuda Triple Challenge are holding a prize-giving ceremony at Barr’s Bay Park today at 12.30pm.

“The winners combined their physical prowess and their philanthropic hearts by raising much needed funding support for Bermuda’s youth based charities as well as completing the three obstacle course onslaughts,” the organisers said.

“These winners are also separate from the competitive division winners who raced for the quickest aggregate weekend time. The competitive division was awarded their prizes on the Bermuda Triple Challenge weekend. As it takes time to consider the fundraising, we hold a separate, more meaningful prize-giving ceremony for the overall weekend winners, being this Wednesday.”

Approximately $32,000 raised on behalf of the Bermuda Triple Challenge supported youth-based charities The Reading Clinic, SCARS, BFIS, Duke of Edinburgh Award (Bermuda Chapter), The Learning Disabilities Association and Windreach.

There were 391 participants across the entire weekend and 83 participants from overseas.
