Devwah Whaley will be out until at least next month after ankle surgery.
The Bermudian running back, who was injured during Arkansas Razorbacks’ defeat to Ole Miss last weekend, tweeted on Monday: “Surgery went well.”
Whaley left the field midway through the third quarter during the Razorbacks’ 37-33 hard-fought loss at War Memorial Stadium. The 20-year-old rushed for 67 yards on 12 carries with a longest rush of 16 yards and also had nine receiving yards on two catches before his day came to a premature end
It was Whaley’s first appearance since suffering a head injury against Auburn on September 22, which ruled him out of the Razorbacks’ next two outings against Texas A&M and Alabama as he completed the mandatory concussion protocol.
