Wilson needs your votes
The Bermuda Paralympic Association are calling on the public to vote for Steve Wilson and help him to be crowned Americas Paralympic Committee athlete of the month.
The inspirational Boccia athlete received his nomination after his eye-catching performance at the Buenos Aires Regional Open in Argentina, where he upset the odds by overcoming the sport’s top players from North, Central and South America, to clinch the gold medal.
The Americas Paralympic Committee is an International Paralympic Committee (IPC) regional committee, which represents the current 26 National Paralympic Committees of the North American and South American continents.
Wilson has been nominated alongside Brazilian judo athlete Alana Maldonado, Mexico’s women’s wheelchair basketball team, wheelchair tennis players Nick Taylor and David Wagner from the USA, and Peruvian badminton player Pilar Jauregui.
Votes can made by visiting www.paralympic.org/americas-paralympic-committee and clicking on Steve Wilson on the sidebar of the webpage.
