PLP issues Easter greetings
Deputy Opposition Leader Derrick Burgess yesterday called for Bermudians the challenge their assumptions this Easter to build a better Bermuda.Mr Burgess wished the Island a happy holiday on behalf of the Progressive Labour Party, and asked the public to think about those less fortunate.“We believe that Bermudians are the most talented, resourceful and loving people in the world,” Mr Burgess said. “Yet in our pursuit of the almighty dollar we can sometimes forget those we’ve left behind.“Let us observe Easter in peace, love and brotherhood and let us seek to build a Bermuda where no one is left out and no one is left behind. No matter our personal faiths and religious beliefs, we can all agree that Bermudians united can overcome anything.“As you enjoy this time with your family and friends, let us emerge from this weekend together, working towards making a Bermuda that works for all of us, a reality.”
