House: airport Act delayed

The Bermuda Airport Authority Act has been deferred from today until the next sitting of Parliament, according to Randy Horton, the Speaker of the House.
After meeting yesterday with Opposition and Government leaders, the Act was delayed “so that Members will have opportunity to further go over the materials that have been shared up to this point”, Mr Horton said.
Earlier, a smattering of peaceful protesters wearing the black T-shirts of the campaign group Move gathered outside Sessions House in anticipation of the legislation going ahead for debate.
Police were present on the grounds, but there was no evidence of any tension outside the House.
