Senator Jeff Baron attended a seniors tea yesterday as part of Corrections Week.
Mr Baron, Minister of National Security, attended the event held at the First Church of God on North Shore Road.
Approximately 90 seniors were in attendance to enjoy refreshments, the ministry said in a release issued this afternoon.
Mr Baron extended his “extreme appreciation” to the island’s seniors, thanking them for their “invaluable contributions to the social fabric of our community”.
Bishop Vernon Lambe, pastor at First Church of God, and Chaplain Elder Kevin Santucci also attended.
Corrections Week runs from April 30 to May 5.
