PLP youth forum on Sunday
Young Bermudians are being encouraged to attend a public youth forum this weekend.
The event, organised by the Progressive Labour Party, will be held at the party’s headquarters on Sunday evening.
Party members Wayne Caines, Tineé Furbert, Dennis Lister III, Renée Ming and Diallo Rabain will be among those taking part.
According to the party, it is of the “upmost importance” that young people have the chance to participate in productive dialogue with public representatives.
“The PLP realises that young Bermudians have become increasingly frustrated with the OBA government’s broken promises and a track record that many young Bermudians feel does not represent their interests,” the party said in a release this afternoon.
“It is imperative that our young Bermudians not only feel a part of the process in the decision-making of the government but that they also contribute to the process.”
The party said it was keen to listen to the concerns and ideas of Bermudians between the ages of 18 to 35 so their plans could be realised in legislative proposals and investment.
The forum begins at 7.30pm.
