Banking regulations to be debated

Changes to Bermuda’s banking regulations on financial technology will be discussed by the House of Assembly today.
David Burt, the Premier and Minister of Finance, will deliver a ministerial statement on “Amending the Banks and Deposit Companies Act 1999”.
Lieutenant-Colonel David Burch, the Minister of Public Works, will talk about trash collection and Walter Roban, the transport minister, is to outline a Throne Speech pledge on energy efficiency.
Two pieces of legislation are set for debate: a housekeeping Bill, the Internal Audit Amendment Act 2018, and the Fintech Development Fund Act 2018.
