The Premier is back in Parliament after he and a Cabinet member experienced a weather-related delay.

David Burt and Curtis Dickinson, the Minister of Finance, were absent this morning as MPs convened in the House of Assembly on the day of the Response to the Throne Speech.

Parliament heard that Mr Burt and Mr Dickinson were held up in the United States by a snowstorm.

A Government spokeswoman confirmed this afternoon that both were back in Bermuda.

The Premier said in a Twitter post on Wednesday that he and Mr Dickinson were in Boston speaking with investors about the Government’s debt refinancing.

Mr Burt added that Anthony Manders, financial secretary in the Ministry of Finance, and Neville Grant, head of corporate banking at HSBC Bermuda, were also present.
