House: boxer Bascome makes use of TN Tatem
TN Tatem Middle School is not in need of demolition because of mould, the House of Assembly heard today.
Boxer Nikki Bascome is running a boxing gym in one of the mould-free buildings, while other licensed activities include a cooking class.
Lieutenant-Colonel David Burch, the Minister of Public Works, told MPs other temporary uses of the facilities include a carpentry and woodwork shop, and a family and counselling facility.
Six entities are using space within TN Tatem, with discussions under way with a seventh.
Security cameras are being added to deter illegal dumping at the Warwick property.
Education minister Diallo Rabain confirmed the permanent closure of TN Tatem last week, after years of battling against mould.
