Minister connects with young people over employment issues
A bid to get young people focused on career paths has been hailed by the labour and economy minister, Jason Hayward.
The minister joined Bermuda Youth Connect to host an in-person gathering discussing Bermuda's employment strategy for younger people.
The session, held at the Berkeley Institute School Library, saw 20 people aged from 18 to 26 come together to “ask questions and gather information”.
Mr Hayward said: "As we continue working towards implementing Bermuda's youth employment strategy, we will continue meeting with our youth to ensure the communications pathways between the Government and Bermuda's young people are open, transparent and accessible.
"This event was rewarding for me, as I was able to hold frank, open discussions with our youth, who are the future of our country.
“It also reinforced my belief that we have an excellent pool of local talent who will become Bermuda's future leaders."
