Live: the Progressive Labour Party’s 57th annual general conference

The PLP’s annual general conference is scheduled to begin at 7pm.

Speakers will include senator Lindsay Simmons, PLP MP Jache Wade, the Prime Minister of The Bahamas, Philip Davis, and David Burt who will give the keynote address.

A spokesperson for the party said: “The Bermuda, Progressive Labour Party will open its Annual Delegates Conference at 7pm with its theme for this year ‘Resolve to Evolve’.

“Opening night will feature dynamic performances by Bermuda’s own Violin Sisters and Fire Wayne, alongside other special guest performances. There will also be a special tribute to the late former Speaker Stanley Lowe.

“The special guest speaker on the opening night will be the Prime Minister of The Bahamas, the Philip “Brave” Davis KC MP. Premier David Burt will also give an opening address, introduced by Alpha Phi Alpha Beautillion Winner Ajani Robinson.

“Other speakers will be MP Jache Adams and senator Lindsay Simmons.

“This event will take place at St Paul AME Centennial Hall and will be open to the public and the media. Persons will also be able to stream virtually on Facebook and youtube.

“Bermuda, let's " Resolve to Evolve”.“

We will have live coverage as well as in-depth reports.
