Arthur Hodgson

Members of the public will be able to share tributes to a late politician and lawyer next week, the Government announced today.

A book of condolence for the family of Arthur Hodgson will be available to sign at the Cabinet Office on Front Street, from February 20 to 24, from 10am to 3pm.

Mr Hodgson, a PLP stalwart, served in the House of Assembly from 1980 until 1983 and again in 1998, when he served as Minister of the Environment until 2000, under Dame Jennifer Smith’s leadership.

He also served as a magistrate for the island’s family courts and was Bermuda’s first Black Rhodes Scholar.

Mr Hodgson passed away on February 6, 2023, aged 82.
