Rest in peace, grandfather

Arianna Hodgson, the senator, has paid a tribute to her grandfather, the former MP and Cabinet minister Arthur Hodgson.

Ms Hodgson, the junior finance minister, left a message yesterday in the condolence book at the Cabinet Office for Mr Hodgson, who died this month at the age of 82.

Mr Hodgson, Bermuda’s first Black Rhodes Scholar, was a Progressive Labour Party MP and served as the environment minister in the PLP’s first Cabinet in 1998.
