Cabinet Building

Legislators will convene on the Cabinet lawn this morning to hear the Governor outline the Government’s legislative agenda for the next year — with plans for the upcoming session understood to include payroll tax breaks for taxi and minibus drivers and broader access to medical care.

Payroll tax breaks for employers retaining Bermudian staff over age 65 are also expected.

The formal proceedings start at 10.30am when members of the House and Senate, judiciary, Public Service executive, and other invited guests gather to hear the Speech from the Throne.
