Governor congratulates Premier after election win

Andrew Murdoch, the Governor, met and congratulated David Burt after the Progressive Labour Party’s election victory last night.
Mr Burt, who has served as Premier since 2017, led the PLP to its third consecutive victory at the polls.
The party garnered 12,300 votes, almost half of all votes cast, and won 25 of 36 constituencies.
Mr Murdoch, who permitted the full embodiment of the Bermuda Reserve Police for election day, also thanked people who “enabled a safe, peaceful and democratic electoral process”.
