Bermuda re/insurer Endurance Specialty Holdings Ltd has appointed John O’Connor to the new role of chief administrative officer.In this role Mr O’Connor will be responsible for leading Endurance’s key global service functions as well as ensuring the efficient operation and delivery of critical internal services and activities to Endurance’s global underwriting operations.Mr O’Connor has more than 20 years’ experience in senior level consulting and insurance industry roles and has successfully designed, built and managed technology, financial and service operations throughout his career.He joined Endurance as the leader of Endurance Services Ltd in 2004 and will now be reporting to CEO David Cash.“In his time with Endurance, John has consistently demonstrated his abilities as a leader of teams, a developer of talent and a builder of operations,” Mr Cash said.“He joined Endurance early in our onshore US expansion and knows the company, its businesses and staff from the ground up.“I am confident that John will bring both energy and perspective to his new role as Endurance’s Chief Administrative Officer and that in this new position he will have a real and sustained impact on Endurance’s operations.”Before joining Endurance, Mr O’Connor was a partner with Accenture consulting to the property and casualty and life insurance industries across a range of technology, financial and process engineering projects.
