OIL promotes Foskey

The OIL Group of Companies has announced the promotion of Robert Foskey to senior vice-president and chief actuary, effective from the start of this year.Mr Foskey joined the OIL Group in May 2007 as senior actuary and has progressively assumed responsibility as a key member of the senior management team.Robert Stauffer, president and CEO of the OIL Group, said: “We are very pleased to welcome Rob to the senior vice-president level. Since joining the organisation in 2007, Rob has gained extensive insight into our insurance operations and developed the Group’s first in-house actuarial function.“He has made significant contributions to expanding the Group’s actuarial and analytics expertise and has raised the bar with respect to our analytical and financial modelling processes; areas of vital importance in today’s property/casualty insurance world. “He joined the Group from Atlantic American Corporation based in Atlanta, Georgia, where he held the position of assistant vice-president and chief actuary. Prior to joining Atlantic American, Mr Stauffer worked with Aon Risk Consultants as an Actuarial Consultant for five years and Ernst & Young as a senior actuarial consultant for two years.
