Investment management firm Nephila Capital has promoted a new partner to its management team.Bermuda-based Nephila announced yesterday that David Oliveira, who has been with the firm since 2006, will join the existing eight partners from his current role as a senior portfolio manager.The firm praised Oliveira for his contributions in “deal origination, portfolio management, hedging implementation and overall market strategy”.Prior to Nephila, Oliveira was head of business development at HSBC (Bermuda) Investments, where he was responsible for providing addet management solutions to the captive and reinsurance community.Founded in 1998, Nephila specialises in reinsurance risk and had approximately $7 billion assets under management as of September 30.
