Endurance Specialty Holdings Ltd has launched a new global trade credit and surety reinsurance business unit.The Bermuda-based re/insurer announced yesterday the new team will be based in Zurich and will focus on the European, Asian Pacific and Latin American markets.Leading the team is Christoph Vircho, who has more than 20 years of experience in this area. He has joined Endurance as vice-president and global head of trade credit and surety to lead Endurance’s expansion of its reinsurance portfolio in these specialty products, the company said.Previously, Mr Vircho was responsible for underwriting key trade credit and surety accounts across several regions at Bermuda-based Axis Re.Endurance CEO David Cash said in a statement: “Endurance is committed to expanding our product capabilities to better serve the specialty reinsurance market and we are extremely pleased to have Christoph join our reinsurance leadership team. Christoph and his new colleagues are seasoned professionals with extensive expertise and a strong network of partnerships with brokers and cedants in the trade credit and surety reinsurance market.”
