Reinsurance industry veteran Robin Spencer-Arscott will continue to serve as a director of the company now known as Omega Specialty Insurance Ltd (OSIL) after its proposed absorption by the Tower Group, the company has announced.Mr Spencer-Arscott served a non-executive director of Omega Insurance Holdings Ltd and chairman of OSIL from 2010 until its acquisition by Canopius in 2012.He now serves as a non-executive director of OSIL and will continue in this capacity following the completion of the proposed sale of Canopius Bermuda Ltd (CBL) to Tower Group. At that point, OSIL will be rebranded.The sale of CBL streamlines Canopius’s Bermuda operations following its acquisition of Omega, with no change in strategy for Canopius’s operations in Bermuda.
