Ironshore names Brown head of Financial Institutions practice
Ironshore announced the expansion of its industry leadership structure to address select, industry-specific insurance market risk with the addition of a new global practice focused on Financial Institutions. Christopher Brown of Ironshore’s Pembroke Managing Agency, based in London, has been named Practice Leader for the Financial Institutions’ industry sector.
Mr Brown will be responsible for developing integrated insurance solutions for the sector in concert with Ironshore’s dedicated team of underwriting specialists.
Mr Brown has more than 25 years’ experience in underwriting risks within this specialty industry sector. He is the deputy active underwriter of Ironshore’s Lloyd’s Syndicate 4000 and is a board director of Pembroke Managing Agency Ltd, where he has played an integral role since its formation in 2004, and following the acquisition by Ironshore in 2008.
Mr Brown began his career in 1985 and for ten years was a specialty lines broker in the London market. He has subsequently spent more than 19 years in underwriting Financial Institutions in both the Lloyd’s and company markets.
