Bermuda-based Everest Re has appointed a new president of a US subsidiary.

Jonathan Zaffino will take over at Everest National Insurance Company/US insurance operations.

He replaces Daryl Bradley, who will move to a role building an international platform for the company’s primary insurance market as head of international insurance operations.

Mr Zaffino joins Everest from Victor O Schinnerer & Co Inc., one of the largest underwriting managers of professional liability and specialty insurance programmes.

He was previously with the Marsh & McLennan group, where he was managing director of its US casualty practice from 20110 to 2013.
