The insurance linked strategies (ILS) arm of Hiscox Re has made two senior appointments.

Kiskadee Investment Managers has made Andrew Hughes ILS compliance manager, while Matthew Swann has been appointed to the role of portfolio manager.

In addition, the firm has made former Kiskadee director of ILS Michael Jedraszak chief investment officer of Hiscox Re ILS.

Mr Hughes joins Kiskadee from Australian company QIC Ltd, a state-owned investment manager with more than $51 billion in assets.

He was senior legal counsel advising on a funds and investments over multiple alternative asset classes.

Dr Swann is transferring from Hiscox Re’s London office, where he was senior non-marine treaty underwriter.
