Craig Landi has been appointed president of Argo Pro US, part of Argo Group International Holdings.

Mr Landi has previously held leadership roles at Arch and Ace, and a number of other insurance companies. He has joined Argo from Freedom Specialty Insurance, where he was president and chief operating officer.

In his new role he will be responsible for leading all aspects of Argo Group’s US professional lines business, which includes a broad portfolio of errors and omissions and management liability products sold through appointed retail and wholesale brokers.

He will report to Steve McGill, group head of professional lines.

“As an industry veteran with more than 30 years of experience, Craig has demonstrated his ability is to develop and manage all the specialised operations required to build, grow, and maintain an exceptional professional lines insurance business,” said McGill. “His efforts will help us take Argo Pro to the next level of client service, growth and innovation in the marketplace.”
