Aon Insurance Managers Bermuda has appointed a new managing director.

Anup Seth, former managing director of Ace Bermuda International in Ireland, will be responsible for the leadership and oversight of captive and insurance operations on the island.

Mr Seth, who has worked in Bermuda before, said: “I’m delighted to join Aon and return to Bermuda at a time when the island has become the world’s leading insurance linked securities marketplace, maintained it pre-eminent status as a captive domicile and has developed a robust corporate governance framework for its global insurance and reinsurance industry.

“Given this backdrop, the investments that Aon has made in its client-serving capabilities across insurance-linked securities, captive and insurance management and risk consulting continues to position the firm for long-term revenue growth and further margin expansion on the island.”

Mr Seth has worked as chief actuary of Ace Bermuda Insurance and senior consultant at professional services firm PwC in Bermuda and London.

He is a Fellow of the UK Institute of Actuaries and gained a BSc in actuarial science from the prestigious London School of Economics.
