Reinsurance company PartnerRe has announced two new directors.

Bilge Ogut and Nikhil Srinivasan have both joined the board as independent directors.

John Elkann, PartnerRe chairman, said: “On behalf of the board, I would like to extend a warm welcome to Bilge and Nikhil.

“They further strengthen the board’s breadth of talent and background and as independent directors from outside the reinsurance industry, they will bring a new and valuable perspective.”

Ms Ogut is head of private equity in Europe for Partners Group, a global private investments management firm.

She is a former head of private equity at Standard Bank International and previously worked at Warburg Pincus.

Mr Srinivasan is group chief investments officer at Generali. He previously spent ten years at Allianz based in Singapore and Munich as group chief investment officer.

The PartnerRe board has a total of seven directors, of whom four are independent.
