Aspen Insurance Bermuda has started the year with two fresh appointments.

Darren Cann and Saadia Savory have joined the company from Aon Bermuda and Argo Re, respectively.

Mr Cann has joined the company as senior vice-president, financial and professional lines. He will be responsible for running Aspen Bermuda’s ‘Finpro’ team. He has a decade of experience in the Bermuda insurance market, having most recently been senior vice-president with Aon Bermuda, and before that with Allied World.

Ms Savory joined Aspen last month as vice-president, excess casualty. She was previously a senior underwriter, excess casualty, with Argo Re, and before that was with AIG. Additionally, she was recipient of the Bermuda Rising Star award in 2007.

At Aspen, Ms Savory and Mr Cann report to Zac Clammer, executive vice-president, head of insurance lines Bermuda.
